GISBORNE Boys’ High School produced one of their best games this season and YMP A triumphed again over LOB A in the men’s hockey on the LJ Hooker turf at Harry Barker Reserve last night.
Boys’ High beat YMP B 3-1. That was the scoreline at halftime.
“The students playedone of their best games of the season last night, and good on them,” hockey commentator Tony Scragg said.
In the other match last night, YMP A beat LOB A 5-1. It was a better scoreline than the last time the two sides met, when YMP thumped LOB A 10-3.
“LOB led 1-0 early on and then YMP led 2-1 at halftime,” Scragg said. “Two of the goals Michael Bond scored for YMP in the second half were absolutely outstanding.”
