Bowls Gisborne-East Coast senior women’s team will represent the region in the national intercentre final in Browns Bay, Auckland, tomorrow and Sunday.
Dayvinia Mills, Mere Nepia, Tanya Harrison, Carol Hawes, Jasmine Merrick, Joy Davis, Lesley Seymour, Anita Vaotuua and Bobbie Beattie won the regional intercentre against Hawke’s Bay, Manawatu andWairarapa in May. They played nine games and won seven, drew one and lost one to take the overall win and a place in the national intercentre finals.
Selector-coach Beattie has chosen the following for the finals: Dayvinia Mills, Mere Nepia, Tanya Harrison, Carol Hawes, Glenda Kapene, Jessie Davis-Law, Jasmine Merrick and Lesley Seymour. Reserve: Joy Davis. Manager: Anita Vaotuua.
They will play, in order, Thames Valley, Nelson, Wellington, North Harbour and Central Otago.
