WAINUI surf lifesaver Laura Quilter tasted medals of all three colours at the Orange Cup pool championships in the Netherlands.

Auckland-based Quilter and Gold Coast-based Midway clubbie Chris Dawson are in the seven-strong Black Fins squad competing at two pool championships in Europe in the space of seven days.

Dawson played his part as the New Zealand men’s team won gold in the 4x50-metres obstacle relay on day one of the Orange Cup in Eindhoven.

The rest of the winning team were Andrew McMillan, Andrew Trembath (both of the St Clair club) and Steve Kent (Titahi Bay).

Quilter followed that up with silver in the 200m obstacle swim won by teammate Sam Lee (Lyall Bay).

Dawson, McMillan, Trembath and Kent picked up bronze in the rescue medley relay. Kent won the 100m rescue medley, with McMillan third.
