FAMILY groups were a feature of the BIZminton2020 mercantile badminton competition last Wednesday.

Husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, sons and daughters all took the court, playing together in teams. In a couple of cases three generations were on the courts, and it was all competitive.

Results from September 2: Nga Uri a Maui def Just Cause 6 matches to 0; Just Cause def Ngarangikahiwa 4-2; TEAM A def Ngati Rangi Night Blades 6-0; Uawa (1) def Hinekura 6-0; GDC Smashers def Casuals 5-1; Enterprise def Hauiti 6-0; Hinekura def Slammers 5-1.

Draw for tonight (final night) —

6pm: Court 1, 3 P's + 1 v Casuals; C2, GDC Smashers v Horouta; C3 and 4, Stanley Family v Ngarangikahiwa.

6.30pm: C3 and 4, Team A v Nga Uri a Maui.

7pm: C1 and 2, Hauiti v losers of Smashers-Horouta game; C3 and 4, Slammers v Just Cause, Stanley Family or Ngarangikahiwa.

7.30pm: C1, Enterprise v Smashers, Horouta or 3P's +1; C2, Hinekura v Just Cause, Stanley Family or Ngarangikahiwa; C3, Ngati Rangi Night Blades v Just Cause, Stanley Family or Ngarangikahiwa; C4, Uawa (1) v Smashers, Horouta or 3P's +1.
