Poverty Bay produced maximum results to move to the top of the Oligoi Jug men’s interclub golf pennants table at the Waikohu course on Saturday.

The most successful club in the history of the pennants, Poverty Bay defeated Patutahi (2) 8-0 in Round 3, then exacted the same whitewash on Tolaga Bay in Round 4.

David Situ, Quin McPike, Zach Rolls and Reece Witters were the Poverty Bay team for the rounds.

They advanced to 26 points, two ahead of Patutahi (1), followed by Te Puia Hot Springs on 23, defending champions Electrinet Park (1) on 20, Tolaga Bay 13, Waikohu 11, Park (2) two and Patutahi (2) also on two points.

Rounds 5 and 6 are at Patutahi on Saturday.

Results — Round 3: Electrinet Park (1) 5 Tolaga Bay 3, Poverty Bay 8 Patutahi (2) 0, Patutahi (1) 5 Waikohu 3, Te Puia Hot Springs 7 Park (2) 1.
