The New Zealand Junior Back Fins surf lifesaving team head to Australia this week for a training camp as they prepare for the World Lifesaving Championships in Riccione, Italy, in late September. Waikanae's Jack Keepa, Lachie Falloon and Oska Smith will be among them. The pool rescue athletes, Keepa and Falloon, will also be competing at the Australia Pool Rescue Championships. They fly out of Auckland on Thursday and return late Sunday. They will then be on a six-week countdown for final preparations ahead of the world champs. File pictures
