Second, with a differential of plus-8, were Boon McIlroy (s), Tony Dobson (d) and Libby Clay (l).
Seven teams had two wins. In third place, with 18 ends won, were Dianne Phillips (s), Kathy Carroll (d) and Scott Amor (l). This was new player Amor’s first tournament.
In fourth place were Maurice Taylor (s), John Andrews (d) and Jean Patterson (l), with 16 ends.
Eric Craill presented the prizes. It was a delight for Eric and club members that his daughter Shelley, from Australia, and son Dean, from Wellington, were both visiting Gisborne and able to enjoy this special event with their father, who has contributed much to the Poverty Bay Bowling Club over many years.
