Kahutia

SENIOR MIXED PAIRS

Only five entries were received for Kahutia Bowling Club’s senior mixed pairs championship.

In a close and competitive struggle, Leighton Shanks and Dianne Phillips finally overcame a spirited challenge from Glenys Whiteman and July Hoepo.

Shanks and Phillips went into a possible final with their two lives intact but one-lifers Whiteman and Hoepo were too strong, winning convincingly 17-10.

Now on even terms, Shanks and Phillips raised their game in the actual final. Despite the best efforts of Whiteman and Hoepo, Shanks and Phillips took out the final and the championship, 15-7.

All four players must be congratulated on their performances in the last two games.

MURTON FAMILY TOURNAMENT
