THE rain eased on Sunday for the Tourism Eastland New Zealand Circuit Grand Slam beach volleyball event next to the Olympic Pool.

Julia Tilley and Shaunna Polley won the women’s division from Danielle Quigley and Francesca Kirwan second and Melissa Ruru and Shannon Bagge third.

Daryl Lewis and Brad Fullerton won the men’s from Jake McNeill and Thomas Hartels, with Thomas Reid and Liam Munday third.
