A woman was transported to Gisborne Hospital with minor injuries after two vehicles collided at the corner of Hansen/Tucker/Haisman and Nelson roads at Makauri yesterday morning.

The crash involved a ute and a car and happened at around 8.40am.

An emergency services spokesman said both vehicles sustained moderate damage to the front.

A woman from one vehicle was assessed at the scene by a St John ambulance crew and then taken to hospital for further treatment.

Police and Fire and Emergency NZ also attended.
