A one-two finish for Graeme Cook in the heads, a fine win to Hannah Hutchinson in the zigzag and another win in the straight hunt to the consistent Ben Te Kahika were highlights of the Waipaoa Dog Trial Club’s trial on Friday and Saturday.

Cook won the long head with Glen and a score of 95, then he and Glen finished runners-up to Colin Bayliss and Jet in the short head and yard.

Hutchinson and Leslie scored a creditable 96 points, equal second-highest score of the trial, to take out the zigzag hunt, followed by Sam Shaw and Rogue on 95.

Te Kahika and Burt recorded the top score of the trial, 97 points, when the combination won the straight hunt, ahead of Hamish Thatcher and Pearl on 96.
