No surprise that John Key is standing again, when he virtually has no opposition and has railroaded the country from day one in office.

He promised not to increase taxes; GST went to 15 percent in his first term. He promised every New Zealander $50 more tax-free in their pocket if elected. It didn’t happen. Promised more money for police, education and health. Didn’t happen. First term, 900 police were axed, the education budget was cut, schools shut down, hospitals closed. All to save money. No social conscience at all!

We will bridge the wage gap between Australia and New Zealand. Nothing happened. That’s why all our children and grandchildren are overseas or in Australia.

Let’s drill for oil and gas, cos it’s money and corporates will get richer.

TPPA? Let’s sign it. Got to be good for the country.

Change the flag.

Proposed commercial fishing ban way too close to shore in the Hauraki Gulf because all the fish travel in from Great Barrier Island from the east and the north, so commercial boats will fish it hard to the boundary and fish the amateur guys out!

We need more social workers and education about life — as the road toll is increasing (despite police issuing millions in tickets), the suicide rate is increasing, teenage pregnancy is still very high, STDs are out of control (especially in Gisborne) and we are losing the war on drugs and gangs.

Social workers and care workers get paid less than part-time Warehouse workers.

They say say voters want better housing, hospitals, roads, education, more policing etc, but cheaper taxes. Voters must have very short memories.
