Opinion
We travelled to Gisborne last weekend to watch football on the Saturday and Sunday at Childers Road. On the Sunday my wife needed to “spend a penny” as it were, so off she went towards the loos inside Childers Rd reserve — only to return a moment later seriously trying
to avoid vomiting. The state of these toilets was a disgrace to Gisborne. Whoever is responsible for their up-keep should be ashamed.
There were over 200 people at the reserve on Sunday so we would have thought these public facilities would be usable. A total disgrace!
We have taken photographs and will forward them to both the council and The Herald. If these photographs appear in The GH, try to avoid looking at them at meal time . . . . You’ve been warned!
EXPAT
Gisborne’s toilets have always been a bridge over troubled waters. Nothing has changed since the 1980s it seems.
