Firefighters were called to the rescue yesterday morning when some people found themselves trapped in an elevator at the former Adairs Building in Grey Street.

FENZ were called in around 8.50am.

The four people in it were very relieved when the fire crew got them out.

A senior firefighter said they would have been trapped in the lift for about 10 minutes.
