The public have until Monday to get their nominations in for the Superheroes awards initiative.
Gisborne District Council has invited people to nominate outstanding individuals, neighbourhood or local organisations and community groups, who went over and above during or after Cyclone Gabrielle.
“You have until Monday, January 22, to highlightthe ‘superheroes’ who stood out for you or your community — those who went out of their way to help, care or contribute,” the council said when it launched the initiative.
“Simply head to our website and fill out the short form.”
