Students  from Girls’ High and the wider community joined national action yesterday afternoon in a stand against  climate change. GGHS prefect Helen Evans said the protest was to raise awareness of the growing concern about climate change. “ It’s very important to bring  recognition to this hot topic,” she said. Yesterday’s event was a collaboration between Enviro Councils and Enviro Schools, “and we hope that as council members we are able to hold these events on a frequent basis”.  Different schools and their respective enviro groups steered by the students make up the Enviro councils.
