The Poverty Bay Dog Trial Centre held their annual prizegiving on Friday night, wrapping up what was described as a challenging season.

Cyclone Gabrielle made her presence felt and subsequent rain events impacted on a number of competitors, farms and trial courses.

“Thank you to those clubs who where able to put on a trial in challenging conditions,” said centre president Colin Bayliss.

“Next season Whangara have agreed to host the centre championships and as a centre we appreciate this and will be there to help.”

The Buscke-Watson Shield for the most consistent heading dog of the season went to Henry Gaddum and Tau with 20 points.
