I 100-percent support efforts to help our kids in Gizzy gain a multi-sports stadium.

My daughters have played rep basketball for more than eight years for Gisborne Basketball Association. One of my daughters played for the Poverty Bay u16 girls’ netball  team this season.

I can attest to how much a new facility would contribute positively for our kids.

I’ve seen them charge through some pretty rough conditions just to do what they love, and a multi-sports stadium would definitely help reduce all of that for our kids. It would provide a safe and sustainable space where they know they can focus purely on the sport!

This would help produce stronger and more confident kids as well as providing more opportunities for our rangatahi in particular to be able to access a facility to grow their skills and aspirations.
