Luxon to speak in Gisborne on Monday

National Party leader Christopher Luxon will hold a public meeting at Lawson Field Theatre on Monday as part of the party’s Back on Track election campaign.

The meeting will start at 11.30am.

National Party East Coast candidate Dana Kirkpatrick said it was important that the National Back on Track tour included Gisborne.

The district was “an incredibly vibrant, important region that will need support in the future”, she said.

“The district has suffered considerable emotional, financial and infrastructure harm in the past six months and we are clear that the East Coast electorate, including Gisborne and the Coast, is a very important part of the New Zealand landscape.”
