Gisborne Lego User Group used an “A”-word different than the famous song from The Lego Movie to describe the second Te Tairāwhiti Brick Show at Ilminster Intermediate School hall at the weekend . . . “amazing”.  Awesome would have been a fair summation as well, as good numbers of the public turned out over Saturday and Sunday to admire the huge variety of Lego creations and give the global hobby —  obsession for some — a go.

“An amazing weekend done and dusted,” Gisborne Lego User Group said on its Facebook page.

“Thanks to all of you who came along and supported our second Te Tairāwhiti Brick Show.” The Group was especially grateful to the sponsors. “Without you we could not do what we have done for the community by bringing a smile to everyone’s face.”

The Group said it was able to raise a generous amount for Autism NZ Gisborne/Tairāwhiti  while Hato Hone St John cadets also made some money for themselves. And Gisborne Lego Group answered the question of whether there would be a third show . . . “see you all next year!”.
