There are 20 active cases of Covid-19 in Tairawhiti.

The latest Te Whatu Ora figures, up to midnight on Sunday,  show no reported deaths from Covid in Tairāwhiti in the past week.

In all,  20 deaths and 25,280 cases of Covid-19 have  been recorded in Tairawhiti.

National figures until Sunday are 2954 active cases and 2,470,435 cases reported since the pandemic began. A total of 3361 deaths have been recorded.  Of the 25 deaths reported in the past week, four were from Auckland region, two from Lakes, six from MidCentral, one from Whanganui, two from Wellington region, two from Nelson Marlborough, four  from Canterbury,  and four from Southern. Six were in their 70s, nine were in their 80s and ten were aged over 90. Of these, 14 were women and 11 were men.
