Re: “Forgotten road”, June 1 story.

The GDC refer to the road leading into a property, Number 37 Branson Rd, as being on private property.

My husband and I bought half an acre there in 1999, built a home and lived there until 15th May 2015. Our property came off the council’s paper road which continued from the bend to the vineyard. We tried to buy that area from council on two occasions but were turned down both times. Therefore that land is the responsibility of council to clear.

Keep pushing for what is needed to live safely out there.
