Gladstone Road is a finalist in the Keep New Zealand Beautiful awards, for best street — up against Beach Road, Akaroa and Buckingham Street, Arrowtown.

Gisborne’s Gladstone Road has been nominated as a finalist in the Keep New Zealand Beautiful national awards.

Keep New Zealand Beautiful recently announced the finalists and recipients of its Beautiful Awards 2023, including Aotearoa’s Most Beautiful Towns and Most Beautiful Cities.

The awards’  Places category celebrates the beautiful places across Aotearoa and acknowledges the people, councils and organisations that work so hard to keep them that way.

In the Places — Best Street award, Gisborne’s Gladstone Road is a finalist alongside Beach Road, Akaroa and Buckingham Street, Arrowtown.

The iconic not-for-profit organisation has held the Beautiful Awards annually since 1972. For over half a century the awards have provided a benchmark for environmental excellence, celebrating the sustainability achievements of the many individuals, schools, communities, towns and cities across the country, who have put in the mahi over that time to Keep New Zealand Beautiful.
