Appearing via AV-link from a prison remand unit, Roger Charles Christian Tupa, 25, pleaded guilty to assaulting a female, breach of a protection order, trespassing, two charges of wilful damage and a breach of bail.
Tupa was further remanded in custody for a dispute of facts hearing (in relation to the assault charge) and sentence on March 12.
He will also plead that day to another alleged breach of bail and a breach of community work.

Police persisted with the prosecution of a woman who was charged with assault with a sharp weapon after a domestic incident.
The complainant had tried to have the charge withdrawn, the court was told.
Araminta Nancee Brown, 49, initially denied assaulting anyone, saying she was the victim.
But after the case was stood down for her to receive further legal advice, she pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of assault (laid under the Crimes Act).
Brown was further remanded on bail for sentence on May 4.

A 17-year-old admitted assaulting a woman — his sister. The pair had previously shared a house together, the court was told.
Hylam Tukiri pleaded guilty. He was further remanded on bail for sentence on June 1.

Judge Raumati noted Tukiri had no prior convictions but that the assault was quite serious.
Tukiri punched his sister several times in the head and face, then stood over and kicked her, the judge said.

Charged with common assault and wilful damage, which she denied, Dallas Miringaorangi, 26, was further remanded on bail for a judge-alone trial on March 27.

Barry Kingi, 65, beneficiary, pleaded guilty to possession of an offensive weapon — a machete — after the charge was reduced from one laid under the Crimes Act to a Summary Offences Act one.
Counsel Melanie Tarsau said it had been 15 years since Kingi’s last appearance in a court. The offence occurred in a flatting situation, where tensions had been mounting.
Judge Raumati said given the circumstances, a good behaviour bond type sentence was appropriate.
The judge convicted Kingi and ordered him to come up for sentence if called upon within the next six months. Kingi was also ordered to pay court fees of $130.
