Firefighters were called to the carpark at Holy Trinity Church mid-morning n Tuesday after a car went out of control and collided with the side of the church hall.

FENZ sent a crew to the scene at around 10am.

“The elderly woman driving the car lost control, and the car went over a barrier and struck the side of the hall,” a senior firefighter said.

“The car sustained some frontal damage, and the driver could not get out.

“We prised the driver’s door open to help her out, and she was checked over by a St John ambulance crew.”
