Opinion
We recently took a two-week trip to Ohope and around the East Cape and wish to thank people for their friendliness, hospitality, food and assistance.
Grateful thanks to the hosts of Aruhe B&B at Whanarua Bay and Rangimarie B&B at Anaura Bay — both very kindly providing us with accommodation
when we turned up on their doorsteps (no cellphone coverage).
Thank you to the lovely ladies at the extremely busy Kai Kart, Te Araroa (great fish and chips!); and thanks also to our saviour, the cheerful Eastech worker on his way to a late job who provided light and muscle power in replacing a flat tyre with our space-saver in the pitch black, wet and cold weather several kilometres north of Anaura Bay.
A big thank you to the friendly team at Beaurepaires Gisborne where we arrived at midday with a flat tyre in the boot. A new tyre was needed from Hamilton. By 10am next day we were on our way with the new tyre fitted — great service.
Taking a break in New Zealand was good fun and what excellent service from a superb bunch of East Coast folk. Our heartfelt thanks to everyone and high recommendation for their services!
