Our friend, relative and Vietnam veteran “Larry” Rangiwai was one of the fallen struck down by a despicable act.Larry’s comrades who served, marched and worked with him are still in shock from his death.
Captain Wally Te Ua, a Vietnam survivor of “Agent Orange” poison, advises that “elder abuse” is rife in Tairawhiti and is afflicting servicemen and women now too frail or dependent to protect themselves. Low-life types are hurting our elders.
