The Poverty Bay A&P Show Association committee met last night and has decided to make a final decision early next week on whether the Spring Show will go ahead.

Under Alert Level 2 the Show could not proceed because of the gathering and social distancing requirements.

“The committee decided to make a final decision after the Government's planned alert level announcements due on Monday,” Show Association general manager Erica McNeil said.

“If we go to Level 1 with no restrictions, the Spring Show will go on.

“We are only three weeks out from the October 14-16 event and time is running out in terms of our preparations, and advising the community,” she said.

“At this stage the Spring Show is still on, and fingers crossed for the level announcements on Monday.”
