Gisborne hosts the cruise ship Silver Muse again tomorrow, with the vessel due to go to anchor in the Bay in the morning, arriving from Akaroa.

A ships’ agent spokesman said forecast sea conditions might play a part in the 14th cruise ship visit this summer.

The ship has capacity for 596 passengers and carries 411 crew. All being well the passengers will be ferried ashore on tenders for a day of tours, shopping and sightseeing. It will be the first of six visits this month, with the Le Laperouse next on February 10, then the Silver Shadow (February 13).

The Noordam is back on February  17, the Regatta on February 20, and the Silver Muse  returns on February 27.
