A GISBORNE man has been charged after an incident where a dog was allegedly thrown off a Gisborne city bridge. The dog could not be found afterwards.
The incident happened on February 25.
A 25-year-old man has been charged with ill-treatment of an animal.
He has made an initial appearance
in the Gisborne District Council where he entered no plea.
“The man was located after a member of the public phoned in to report the alleged incident,” police said.
