Opinion

I write as a newspaper lover. May our local paper continue for at least my lifetime. Best wishes to all involved with the forthcoming changes.

However, more importantly I would like to thank all those young people who — rain, hail or snow — seem to get the papers delivered. Two particularly are Nick and his mum Gina, and Alice who delivered at Wainui — but all those I don’t know, best wishes to you all.

Know that you have already learned some important life skills and that many people have gone on to do good and great things after their first job delivering papers.

To Nick, I have enjoyed our interaction. Go well young man.
