Armed police went to Munro Street in Elgin on Saturday morning in response to reports of a burglary that was reported to have involved a firearm.
The response to Munro Street happened shortly before 9am on that morning.
“Police who attended were armed as a precaution, because the report mentioned
that a firearm had been sighted,” a police spokesman said.
“Police searched an address of interest but at this time no offenders have been located.”
The police inquiry into the incident continues.
