A woman accused of stealing more than $16,000 worth of alcohol and other goods — including a water feature — from local shops, failed to front at court when her case was called this week.
Krystal Kelly Love, 38, who is listed on court documents as a teacher, is facing
at least 20 charges for alleged offending between November last year, and February this year.
The charges allege numerous thefts from shops, obtaining goods by deception, and that she fraudulently used an email to order items.
The total value of goods named in charging documents totals $16,206 and includes more than $10,000 worth of alcohol and cigarettes from Liquorland, watches and jewellery from the Warehouse, wallets and beauty products from Horouta Pharmacy, groceries from Pak’nSave, various items including a security camera system from Bunnings, and a water feature and other items from Mitre 10.
Love’s case was called during a registrar’s list in Gisborne District Court. She failed to appear so a warrant was issued for her arrest.
