A109 Light Utility Helicopter flight with mayor Gisborne City from the air in November 2023.
FIREFIGHTERS were called to a rental property in Churchill Crescent, Te Hapara, yesterday afternoon after a pot of food on the stove overheated.
The family living in the home were alerted to the problem by smoke alarms and called 111.
It happened just before 1pm.
“They managed to put the
small fire out before we arrived,” a senior firefighter said. “A woman in the house suffered some minor burns in the incident and was going to seek medical advice.”
Smoke alarms made the difference in giving the family early warning of the problem.
