Accidental false alarms at schools

Firefighters were called to two separate accidental false alarms at city schools yesterday that involved evacuations.

The first was at around 11,30am at Gisborne Girls’ High School, a senior firefighter said.

“The second was at 12.30pm at Gisborne Intermediate School.

“Both evacuations were handled well by the schools.”
