Mangahauhau Hampshire ram

Mangahauhau Hampshire ram

The first of the major ram sales of the season happens today at the Matawhero saleyards when Mark and Rose Candy from Mangahauhau Hampshires auction off 80 of their strapping young fellows.

The Hangaroa stud enjoyed a total clearance in their 2022 sale, and set a new stud-high price of $2000.

It has been a challenging year with Cyclone Gabrielle and other weather events but Mark Candy reckons their line-up has come through really well. The sale gets under way at 12 noon today.
