GISBORNE woman Regina “Reggie” Rangihuna Henderson continues to rack up the climbs in the Titirangi Mt Everest Challenge.
As of this morning, Regina had recorded 379 climbs of Titirangi/Kaiti Hill in the seven-week challenge to climb the equivalent height of Mt Everest. That equates to 49,270 metres — more than5½ times the height of Everest.
Memorie Anderson-Patterson had achieved 312 climbs while Katrina Christy was on 214.
Memorie’s Huringa Pai Whanau remained the top team. Their 53-strong squad had compiled 2576 climbs — an average of 49 and a total of 334,880 metres or nearly 38 scalings of Everest.
Pak’nSave Gizzy Connect, with 94 team members, had completed 1782 climbs at an average of 19. Eastland Group’s 40 members had racked up 1271 climbs at an average of 32.
