Testiclemony: 2019 Wellington Raw Comedy Quest Winner ‘Opeti Vaka brings his debut solo show to Gisborne.

The self-proclaimed “most known unknown” stand-up comedian is bringing his show to Gisborne.

On Saturday, January 14, ‘Opeti Vaka performs his debut solo show “CHURRch BRO” in the Lawson Field Theatre.

Mr Vaka was awarded the Best Newcomer at the Wellington Comedy Awards in 2019, as well as the 2019 Wellington Raw Comedy Quest Winner.

The hour-long CHURRch BRO involves him sharing his “testiclemony (99 percent truth with 1 percent bollocks)”.

Mr Vaka describes his show as a church service where he shares his life journey as a Wellington-born Tongan/Māori, packed with biblical interpretations, crime and race relations.
