Federated Farmers and Ag First will host the field day associated with the winners of the Gisborne/Wairoa ‘Farmer of the Year’ competition this week.

It was won this year by the Rakanui Pastoral Ltd team, the Griffin family, who farm at Rere and Motu.

The field day starts at 9am on Thursday at their Rere property, 129 Rere Farm Settlement Rd.

It moves from there to the Te Kohanga property at 11am, at 18 Motu Falls Rd.

Utes with farm tyres will be needed for the tours at both properties.
