Artists from Gisborne, the East Coast and elsewhere are invited to apply for a place to exhibit at the 2020 NZ Art Show. The show seeks contemporary artists “with something fresh and exciting to offer art lovers”.
Gisborne artist Jason Courtis met that brief last year with his surrealistic macrophotographs,
as did his partner Holly Thomas’s abstract paintings, and Holly Tong and Runa Kuru’s rich, often dark photographs of flower arrangements with a difference.
Described as one of the best platforms for artists to showcase their art to thousands of people, the 2020 NZ Art Show will be held at Wellington’s TSB Arena from May 29 to June 1. For more info about the show visit www.artshow.co.nz/exhibit
