“Just for fun” is how local painter Claire Kizlink describes her latest exhibition displayed at Verve Cafe.
Her artwork consists of a selection of oil and acrylic paintings which carry a feeling of “motion and excitement”.
Kizlink said: “I felt after the cyclone, everyone would be feeling very dull and
done. So why not have an exhibition for some fun and bring some normalcy.”
One of the paintings that she particularly likes is called 50% which she recalls was an artwork she drew about 20 years ago and is based off one of her several “interesting” moments in America.
Most of her paintings, she says, are derived from her personal “joyful” experiences.
