The Tairawhiti Writers' Hub is taking submissions for an anthology of writings from the East Coast. The deadline for submissions is May 20.

From science fiction to romance, from haiku to memoir, the Tairawhiti Writers Hub is taking submissions for an anthology of writings from the East Coast.

A few prerequisites: Writers must be from Tairawhiti or have a link to the East Coast. All submissions must be previously unpublished. No more than 4000 words for short stories, and include a short bio – about 100 words – with your submission.

The deadline for submissions is May 20 and works should be submitted for consideration as a Word document to tairawhitiwrite@gmail.com. Depicted for inspiration is Leonid Pasternak's 19th century painting The Passion of Creation.

For more about the writers' hub visit .

Publication of the anthology is made possible through a Margaret King Spencer Writers Encouragement Trust grant.
