BEST IN SHOW: Among Merle Bishop's pieces is a pendant that features a sterling silver dog, which clasps under one arm a rose quartz handbag. Bishop’s design is a wave to her mother who more than 50 years ago won a Country Woman’s Institute prize because she carried more than 80 items in her handbag. Picture supplied
