Breaking the rules on hair

Pink, orange, red, indigo, green, turquoise . . . no, not the colours of the rainbow . . . hair colour.

I’m generally game to try most new products but I’m happy to leave the latest hair craze to the millennials.

L’Oréal Paris has recently launched the avant-garde Colorista with colours that push the hair colour boundaries . . . for as long or as short a time as you dare.

Colour lovers can create ombré, pastel and bold looks with a variety of shades that allow you to colour your hair, wash it out and do it all again.

Colorista includes a range of 1-Day Sprays, semi-permanent Wash Out shades, an Effects permanent colour range and a fader shampoo.

The 1-Day Spray is perfect for a single-day or night look. Visible on all hair types, no matter how light or dark, it’s like makeup for the hair — instantly on and instantly gone in one wash.

For colour you can fade out and change, Wash Out has 10 colour variations to liven blonde and brunette hair.

The Pastels range, designed specifically for blonde hair, lasts for two to three washes, whereas the Vivids range for brunettes, produces daring colour lasting up to 15 washes.

Colorista Effects are available in Soft Bleach and Brunette Ombré which is applied to hair to highlight any Colorista hue as a permanent colour.

Fade the colour and move on to another with the Fader Shampoo.

Colorista is perfect for those who love to break the hair colour rules . . . but Brunette Ombré might be as daring as I get . . . at least for now.
