Chairwoman Sharon Hitchcock says the Foodbank Fill The Bus appeal has been the most successful in its history, with more than 40 local businesses donating items that will go to families in need across Tauranga.

The Bay of Plenty Times Christmas Appeal has raised more than $60,000 for the Tauranga Community Foodbank. There has been more than 10,500 food items donated, valued at $2 each, and almost $40,000 in cash donations.
