Paul Ubana Jones is a must-see at this year's Jazz Festival.

Anyone who has ever witnessed his blues/rock/folk style and smokin' guitar will know to book early for this show. Ubana Jones has an intimate show at Baycourt's Exhibition Space for the festival.

He was born in London to a Yorkshire mother and a Nigerian father and graduated from music college, where he studied guitar, cello and composition.

He moved to New Zealand in the late 80s, performs throughout the country and internationally, and has won three New Zealand music awards.

He has shared the stage with a range of artists including Keb Mo, Norah Jones, Bob Dylan, Tuck and Patti, Crowded House and many others.
