The full house sign was out at the Memorial Hall at the QE2 Youth Centre on Saturday night when the Clash of the Corporates 7 took place before a vocal crowd.

Thirteen corporate bouts provided the entree to two professional contests, featuring home-town boxers, Gunnar "The Stunna" Jackson and Anthony "TNT" Taylor.

Taylor's fight with Nick Hikuroa was an all-action contest, with Taylor giving an outstanding exhibition of power punching. The bout scheduled for six three-minute rounds ended in round three.

Taylor outfoxed his opponent throughout the fight, laying a huge number of power shots on Hikuroa. The end came when Taylor unleashed a flurry of blows sending Hikuroa crashing to the canvas, with the referee stopping the contest by way of TKO decision.

Jackson stepped up two weight divisions to meet ultra-tough Sivan Hermez in a light-heavyweight encounter over six rounds.

Jackson worked hard throughout the contest to outbox his opponent, landing a number of effective shots to the body. Hermez hung tough and showed plenty of grit but the judges awarded a unanimous points decision in the local boxer's favour.

The six hard-fought rounds will stand Jackson in good stead when he squares off with unbeaten Shay Brock, who will bring a 12-0-0 record to the ring, at the ABA Stadium in Auckland on November 3.

The Corporate undercard produced almost non-stop action before the two local pros showcased their talents later in the evening. Kim Davidson and Amy Locket had the crowd on its feet with Amy getting the judges' nod.

The final Corporate contest between heavyweights Warick Bray and Eli Taito saw the two big boys go to war, with Taito pushing a tad harder to earn the decision.
