Tauranga kayaker Andrew Roy dominated Cane Racing New Zealand's second sprint regatta of the season at Rotorua's Blue Lake.
The regatta was attended by clubs from Otago to North Shore and held in stunning conditions.
Roy, 17, won the under-19 division K1 200m and K1 1000m, then paired with fellow Tauranga paddler
Sam Shergold to win the K2 200m and K2 500m.
To top it off, Otumoetai College's Roy and Tauranga Boys' Shergold linked with Wanganui's Jason Anderson and Poverty Bay's Ben Tinnelly to capture the K4 200m and K4 500m titles at the weekend.
Roy, who last month made the New Zealand junior team, beat North Shore's Jack Wilson into second in both his K1 races, with Tinnelly third in the K1 200m and Shergold - bidding to grab the final spot in the New Zealand junior team - third in the K1 1000m.
Roy and Shergold are also members of the Mount Maunganui surf club.
The open men's times produced at the regatta were some of the fastest seen in New Zealand sprint racing.
The 200m final saw Steven Ferguson and Scott Bicknell neck and neck all the way, with a split second difference giving Ferguson the victory. He recorded a time of 37.10secs to Bicknell's 37.58secs.
The 1000m final produced a tremendous show, with Ferguson again taking out the win in 3:31.95, closely followed by Ben Fouhy in 3:34.34, with Troy Burbidge finishing next.
The open women were not to be outdone, with Erin Taylor returning from injury, but still finishing behind another Mount Surf Club member, Lisa Carrington, in the K1 200m and K1 500m events.
