"The team have been practicing since Sunday last week. They're in good spirits. The guys are ready to take to the field - we're ready."
The team had their first training session in the sulphur city yesterday, opening it briefly for the media with the African side looking sharp and fired up.
Elago said despite Namibia having a small player base to choose from, the team had a good mix of youth and experience and were keen to show New Zealand they were ready for the riggers of facing a flying Fijian team.
"I think there are two levels of excitement within the team, for some it's their first World Cup and there is no bigger event. The others who are repeating their experiences from previous World Cups, they are there to guide their team mates through this experience."
Meanwhile Fijian midfielder Seremaia Bai and winger Naipolioni Nalaga have been recalled by Fiji among nine changes to the starting lineup to meet Namibia.
Franced-based Bai will play in the centers outside first five-eighths Waisea Luveniyali.
