Two Bay of Plenty Women's players have recently been selected for Northern District teams. Anna Peterson has again been selected for the Northern Spirit, while Jacinta Coleman will make her debut for the Northern Districts Women's Under-21 team next month.

Anna, who was selected for the New Zealand Women's Emerging Players team last season, has held a regular place in the Spirit since earning a spot in the side four seasons ago.

The last twelve months have seen Anna develop into a true all rounder, who now has a record of 20 limited-over and 15 Twenty20 games, for the Northern Spirit. She has scored nearly 350 runs in the two forms of the game, with a handy average of 15.31 in the one-day arena. In addition she has taken six wickets for the ND side in both forms of the game.

Jacinta Coleman, will make her debut for the Northern Districts Women's Under-21 side, at the National age group tournament to be played in Christchurch 14/20 December 2011.

The Tauranga Girls' College pupil, has graduated from Bay of Plenty Junior and Secondary School teams, to become an integral member of the Bay of Plenty senior women's side that won the ND Women's championship last season.
